For the past few months, I’ve been working with the Lakes International Comic Art Festival to organise a 24 hour comic event, and on Friday evening, we stood and watched books that we had literally just finished drawing rolling off the presses. It was Crazy. We started drawing at 3pm on Thursday and by 9pm on Friday we had boxes of seven new books still hot off the press.

I’m simultaneously in staggered and overwhelmed by the hard work that Kristyna Baczynski, Jack Teagle, Sarah McIntyre, Joe Decie, Warwick Johnson Cadwell put in to make this happen.

We also had some amazing volunteers staying up all night with us, creating and updating the event blog and ensuring that everything ran smooth like warm buttery silk. Thanks Phil and Katie!

Huge thanks to Julie Tait from LICAF for getting all this working, and to Matt and Leigh from Kendal College for the very generous loan of equipment and manpower. IMG_0240 IMG_0416 IMG_0417 IMG_0418 IMG_0419 IMG_0420 IMG_0421 IMG_0245 IMG_0248 IMG_0249 IMG_0251 IMG_0252 IMG_0253 IMG_0254 IMG_0255 IMG_0256 IMG_0257 IMG_0258 IMG_0260 IMG_0262 IMG_0263 IMG_0264
