This was a weird hourly comics day for me. I’ve had flu all this week and have been off work. It’s been ROUGH. It’s like a blend of extreme fatigue, shivers, fever, aches, cramps, headaches and occasional hallucinations. Mostly the hallucinations were of my cat sat in corners or on shelves. I thought she was in the fridge on Wednesday, turns out it was a big cabbage. I took my slippers off at one point because they were “too heavy”. No fun at all.

I didn’t think I’d be able to do hourly comics this year - first because I’m sick and concentrating on anything at the moment is rather challenging and secondly because most of my day this week is spent sleeping or pitying myself, which if you ask me don’t make for particularly compelling comics. Not the way I do them anyway.

I drew these comics last night on my iPad in Procreate. They took me about 5 or 6 sittings, depending on how lucid I was. Procreate is fun because it records a timelapse of your drawing, which makes it look like I had a breeze drawing these. The truth is that this was probably a bad idea and it left me mentally exhausted. Scroll to the bottom to watch the timelapse.

I think you can see where I’m cutting corners and saving time/effort, but hopefully they are a fun read anyway. Enjoy!
